The early access update, what will it contain?
IMPORTANT STUFF:
-This is NOT the final update for overload itself, just for the demo, what I will be doing is taking a break from developing overload, a really long one to be exact.
GRAPHICAL/ SOUND OVERHAUL:
-New background, a red sky instead of a white one, for a more comfortable view.
-New font, hand made in scratch’s vector sprite maker, giving an overall better look to the game.
-No more costume flickering, the player now doesn't flicker between standing and sliding anymore.
-Hitstop + screenshake, hitstop was there but now it looks better, screen shake has also been added for more engaging gameplay with cooler effects.
-2.5D effect, the level now has a 2.5D effect for a better look!
MEMORY USAGE:
-The overload file went from 26 MB to 3,2 MB due to sound compressing, a special thanks to Prodforer for helping me with that.
-Lag reduction, scripts were changed to reduce lag, increasing FPS and making hits more responsive.
GAMEPLAY FLOW:
-Difficulty increases over time, enemies now spawn less randomly and have an actual order, vehicles and bosses are more balanced, damage and difficulties are more balanced now too.
-Guide, there is now a better and clearer tutorial explaining how to play the game.
WEAPONS:
-Weapon overhaul, basically all weapons got overhauled, with looks or special techs for a weapon, you now have an actual arsenal instead of just the split shot with projectile boosting (Projectile boosting is from this game all credit for that idea goes there: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1229490/ULTRAKILL/).
BUG FIXES/IMPROVEMENTS:
-Collision, colliding with the level is now buttery smooth, same for the enemies. (Prodforer, made this all credit goes to him).
-No more enemies after the boss, enemies now actually spawn after the boss instead of bugging out.
-Enemy keeps dying, the enemy doesn't insta die or keep dying now anymore (Again thanks to Prodforer for telling me this).
-Weapons, the charge guns now actually deal damage instead of healing the enemy, your whole arsenal now flows together with one another, meaning every weapon can be used to chain a combo with other weapons.
